Till I End My Song

2.30pm and 5pm onĀ 28th June, 2015 at Cell Block Theatre

The endurance of love

The lifelong reverberations of our actions

The transcendence of light

The Leichhardt Espresso Chorus creates a intensely intimate concert around final memories, with newly commissioned song cycles by Dan Walker, ”Last Verses”, and Owen Elsley, “On Love”. Coupled with Morten Lauridsen’s extraordinarily beautiful “Lux Aeterna” this is a concert to inspire contemplation.

Join us as the notes reverberate into the beautiful and historic space of the Cell Block Theatre.

The Cell Block is centrally located in the National Art School at Darlinghurst on Forbes Street, just a short bus ride up Oxford Street or 15 minute walk from Museum and Kings Cross train stations.

Our concert features pianist Sally Whitwell, chamber strings and the choirs of the Leichhardt Espresso Chorus, conducted by award-winning Artistic Director Michelle Leonard.

Concert duration: approx. 1 hour
